Boomerang

Boomerang is Bellewaerde's classic Vekoma shuttle coaster, running forward and backward through the same inversions.

Boomerang is a no-nonsense thrill ride: the train is hauled backward up the lift, then blasts through a cobra roll before you experience the whole layout again in reverse. That shuttle setup makes the compact coaster feel longer and sharper than the stats suggest.

Location

Notes

RCDB lists 935 feet of track, a height of 116.5 feet, a top speed of 47 mph, 3 physical inversions, a 1:48 ride time, 760 riders per hour, Peter Clerx as designer and operating since 1984. Bellewaerde markets 6 inversion passes because the train takes those inversions once forward and once backward. The date field uses 1 January as a year marker because no more precise opening date is documented.

Theming

The Mexico setting suits this brightly colored shuttle coaster perfectly: true to its name, the train comes back over the exact same track.

Typical wait time: around 10 min.

It usually falls between 5 min and 15 min.

See more than 15 min? It is probably busier than usual — consider a quieter moment.

Less than 5 min? You are in luck: that does not happen often.
