Indiana Jones coaster at Disneyland Paris closed for several weeks
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril closed for major maintenance for almost four weeks in September 2024. The pause fitted into the long upkeep history of Adventureland's rugged coaster.
More context
In September 2024, Disneyland Paris scheduled another substantial maintenance period for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. The coaster was due to close on Monday 16 September and, according to the published planning, return on Saturday 12 October. For guests that meant several weeks without one of the few true thrill rides in Disneyland Park, at the same time that Peter Pan's Flight and the Flying Carpets over Agrabah were also part of the maintenance picture. The closure fitted the ride's character: a compact but forceful 1993 Intamin coaster with a single loop and a reputation for needing serious upkeep. Looopings also placed the work in a wider historical frame. When it opened, Indiana Jones was the first Disney coaster anywhere in the world to send riders upside down, and in 2014 large parts of the track and structure had already been renewed. The 2024 shutdown therefore felt like more than a routine calendar note; it was another chapter in keeping this rough Adventureland classic rideable and dependable.
