Paultons Park announces Tornado Springs with two drop towers
Paultons Park presented Tornado Springs as the largest project in its history. Alongside spinning coaster Storm Chaser, the American 1950s area would also include two drop towers, later known as Windmill Towers.

In July 2019, Paultons Park presented its plans for Tornado Springs, a new themed area designed to place visitors in an American desert town from the 1950s. Storm Chaser was the headline attraction in the announcement, but the news was just as relevant for Windmill Towers: the park confirmed that the area would also include two drop towers. That gave the later family towers a clear place in the concept from the beginning, not as isolated flat rides but as part of a complete new land. The expansion was described as the largest project in Paultons Park history. The Dutch company Leisure Expert Group designed the area, while MK Themed Attractions from Denmark was brought in for the scenery. For visitors, the announcement showed that Paultons Park wanted to serve families with more than a new coaster. Tornado Springs was built around a wider ride package in which movement, theming and capacity worked together. Windmill Towers fits that strategy neatly: lively enough for young thrill seekers, yet compact and accessible enough for families.
