More context
Shortly after LEGO Ferrari Build and Race opened, Legoland Windsor introduced a striking photo opportunity. Looopings reported that guests could see a life-size Ferrari built from more than 400,000 Lego bricks. The model formed part of the new Ferrari experience at the English Legoland park.
The car was a replica of the Ferrari Daytona SP3. It required exactly 402,836 Lego bricks, and the build took almost a year. Not everything was Lego: the steering wheel and wheels were original parts. Within the same experience, guests can build their own mini Ferrari and use projection technology to test it digitally on a Lego race track.
The addition gave LEGO Ferrari Build and Race a strong visual anchor right away. For families, the photo spot is an easy reason to stop and look, while the building and testing activity remains the heart of the experience. For theme park fans, it shows how Legoland Windsor can create a memorable branded attraction on a compact scale without losing the Lego identity.
