In November 2022, Walibi Holland announced the programme for Bright Nights - Rides & Lights, the park's first winter opening. The event focused on light shows, extra entertainment and seasonal activities, with families as an important target audience. Not every ride would operate, but the bumper cars were given a striking role in the evening atmosphere.

Looopings reported that Tequila Taxi's and Mini Taxi's would receive lighting effects during Bright Nights under the name Christmas Taxi's. That made Mini Taxi's more than a children's ride that happened to be available: it became part of the winter setting and of the route past illuminated attractions. Walibi did remain cautious. Rides outside the list of eight confirmed closures could operate only if weather conditions allowed.

For visitors, the news explained how Walibi wanted to shape its winter debut. The major roller coasters received musical light shows, but smaller family rides such as Mini Taxi's also helped create the mood. In the history of Mini Taxi's, this is a neat seasonal milestone: the attraction received a temporary event identity and became visibly part of Walibi's first winter park experience.

One day before Walibi Holland reopened in May 2021, the park gave a clear first look at the renewed Exotic area. In a video, several updated attractions appeared on screen, including Condor, El Rio Grande, Los Sombreros and the children's bumper cars Mini Taxi's. That gave the previously announced refurbishment a more tangible shape.

Looopings reported that the new theme had been designed by Leisure Expert Group and realised by Jora Vision. The style matched the direction Walibi had been pursuing for several years: making the park feel more like a festival site. Bright colours, graffiti and eye-catching objects became part of the new Exotic identity.

For Mini Taxi's, the news showed that the small children's ride was not left outside the larger area makeover. It remained a familiar part of the Exotic square, but was clearly included in the presentation of the renewed surroundings. For families and theme park fans, the video made visible how Walibi used even the smaller rides to strengthen the atmosphere of the whole area.

Mini Taxi's entered the spotlight in February 2021 through the broader winter refurbishment of Exotic. Looopings reported that Walibi Holland was not only working on the Los Sombreros ride, but also modernising several other recognisable parts of the area. Alongside El Rio Grande, Condor and the Haciënda restaurant complex, the children's bumper cars Mini Taxi's were specifically named.

For visitors, the update showed that Exotic was getting more than a quick coat of paint. Walibi was reshaping the area with brighter colours, glitter accents and a more festival-like look, in line with the park's multi-year Festivalization plan. Tequila Taxi's had already been refreshed the year before; Mini Taxi's was now being brought into that same visual direction.

That matters precisely because Mini Taxi's is a small family ride. Its inclusion showed that Walibi wanted the supporting children's attractions to match the renewed atmosphere as well. The result was meant to make the whole Exotic square feel fresher and more consistent ahead of the planned reopening in April 2021.
