Sim sa la Klim makeover remains on hold for years
Toverland confirmed in 2023 that the announced Sim sa la Klim makeover had still not happened. Other projects took priority, although the park said the update remained planned.

More than two years after Toverland announced a striking makeover for Sim sa la Klim, the climbing structure in Land van Toos was still unchanged. In September 2023, Looopings asked the park for an update on the promised changes to Sim sa la Klim and the nearby Vliegend Tapijt.
The original plans, presented in 2021, were ambitious for such a small playground attraction. The six-metre climbing hill, formerly known as Klimhoed, was supposed to receive a new look with additional themed details and an oriental-style tower almost four metres high. The update would make Sim sa la Klim fit more closely with the redesigned characters Toos Toverhoed and Morrel and with the broader refresh of Land van Toos.
Toverland said the changes had not been cancelled, but other projects had taken priority. In the meantime, the park had been busy with Expedition Zork, a winter event, the Avalon expansion, the haunted house Now You're Mine and preparations for a new office building. For visitors, this meant the climbing hill kept its familiar appearance for the time being. For fans, it became a small but telling example of how announced theming projects can remain on hold for years, even when a park still says it wants to carry them out.
