Die 3 Mausketiere

A few days after the opening, Looopings showed how much detail Phantasialand had built around Die 3 Mausketiere. The former Schauspielhaus was not simply refreshed, but transformed into the Residenz Theater, with an atmosphere inspired by a 1920s Berlin cinema. The lobby features old newspaper clippings, photographs, film cans and a grand piano, pulling guests into the attraction before the film even begins. For fans, many of the strongest touches are hidden in those details. The queue includes the skeleton of Captain Lucky, a nod to predecessor Pirates in 4D. There are also cakes from Gustav Lehmann, the baker from Maus au Chocolat, and a bottle referring to Galaxy, the flight simulator later known as Race for Atlantis. In that way, Phantasialand connects the new attraction to several layers of park history. At the same time, Die 3 Mausketiere is firmly modern in technical terms. Kraftwerk Living Technologies supplied the advanced 4D setup, using motion seats, LED instead of projection and special effects such as light, fog and water. The result is not just a new theater film, but a carefully themed continuation of Berlin.

On 1 October 2025, Die 3 Mausketiere stopped being a future project and became an open attraction. Phantasialand launched the new 4D film experience without prior warning inside the newly designed Residenz Theater. The story places a fantasy version of Berlin in danger, with three mouse heroes, Lottie, Otto and Herbert, facing a gang of rats. That ties the attraction to Maus au Chocolat, while shifting the format from interactive shooting to a cinematic adventure. The technical package received just as much attention. Guests sit in motion seats that respond to the film, supported by special effects. Phantasialand highlighted the use of an LED screen instead of projection, high-resolution 3D imagery, sound coming directly from the screen and 360-degree surround audio. The park also introduced curved Panoview 3D glasses and Premium SFX Motion seats, which Looopings described as a European first. The film was produced by Fractal Picture and directed by Arish Fyzee, with music recorded by the Filmorchester Babelsberg. For visitors, the result is an accessible year-round family attraction, with a 90-centimetre minimum height and adult accompaniment required for children between 90 and 120 centimetres.

At the end of September 2025, the project inside the former Schauspielhaus finally gained a clear identity. Looopings reported that the mice from Maus au Chocolat would return in Die 3 Mausketiere, a new 4D film experience also framed as The 3 Mouseketeers. That made the link with the interactive dark ride in Berlin concrete: this was not merely a refreshed cinema, but an expansion of an existing Phantasialand story world. The timing mattered. Pirates in 4D had disappeared earlier in the year, and the Schauspielhaus had been transformed into the Residenz Theater. Posters at the venue presented the newcomer as a 4D world premiere for the whole family. They promised guests a fast-paced mission and showed the main characters from the film for the first time. For fans, the article connected several clues: the earlier trademark filing, the theater conversion and the return of the mouse theme. Official information was still limited, but the direction was clear. Phantasialand was creating a film attraction that stayed close to Maus au Chocolat while giving the old 4D theater a new identity.
