Legoland reopens LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure after major refurbishment

After a quiet year below the surface, LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure returned to the LEGOLAND Windsor line-up. Looopings reported on 11 February 2025 that the underwater ride would reopen on Saturday 15 February, after remaining closed throughout 2024 for major maintenance. That made the comeback more than a routine status update: one of the resort’s most distinctive dark rides was ready for guests again.
The work went beyond technical upkeep. LEGOLAND created 22 new Lego models for the refreshed experience, a building project that took around three months. Together, the sculptures use about 240,000 bricks. Riders still board submarines and travel past Lego scenes and real marine life, including zebra sharks, blackchin guitarfish and southern stingrays.
For park fans, the reopening matters because the attraction has already lived through several identities. Built by Mack Rides, it opened in 2011 as Atlantis Submarine Voyage before receiving its current LEGO City theme in 2020. The 2025 refresh keeps that second chapter alive: the ride is not merely back from maintenance, but visibly renewed with new models and a stronger reason for returning visitors to look again.
