Gardaland opened Wolf Legend, a 25-metre rotating free-fall tower set inside the mouth of a 16-metre wolf. The ride combines light, smoke, music and a curse storyline on the former Sequoia Magic Loop site.
More context
In June 2024, Gardaland's mysterious project finally received its name and shape: Wolf Legend opened as a 25-metre free-fall tower next to Shaman. The ride is more than a compact drop tower. Guests are lifted while rotating inside the open mouth of a 16-metre wolf, before dropping through a sequence supported by lighting, smoke and music. In doing so, Gardaland turned its earlier promise of a heavily themed attraction into a striking visual landmark that immediately changed the area's silhouette. Looopings also highlighted the production details: the tower was supplied by Italian manufacturer SBF Rides, while the storyline centres on a wolf turned to stone by a curse. The fall is framed as a ritual intended to break that curse. For fans, the historical layer is just as interesting. The tree-stump entrance reuses the former entrance of Sequoia Magic Loop, keeping a visible trace of the removed coaster inside the new experience. According to managing director Sabrina de Carvalho, guest surveys showed demand for this type of ride. Gardaland placed Wolf Legend within a wider investment season that also covered maintenance, entertainment and the new illusion show Impossible.
