Aquascope opens with a water maze for younger visitors
Futuroscope opened Aquascope, an indoor water park where The Water Maze is part of the family offering. The water maze sits within a broader mix of slides, projections and interactive water experiences.
More context
With the opening of Aquascope in July 2024, Futuroscope added an entirely new water park to its resort. Looopings reported that the 6,000-square-metre complex combines slides and a wave pool with a more distinctive mix of water, imagery and interactivity.
That matters for The Water Maze because the water maze was specifically highlighted as part of the offer for younger visitors. Among larger features such as the lazy river, the water cinema and the slide line-up, this kind of play area gives Aquascope a clear family dimension. Children can explore, move around and react to playful water effects without the experience relying on speed or thrill.
The opening also fits into Futuroscope’s wider resort strategy. With a 57-million-euro investment, thirteen slides, capacity for 1,700 bathers and a target of 450,000 visitors a year, Aquascope was designed to make the destination more attractive for multi-day stays. In that context, The Water Maze is more than a small splash zone. It is one of the elements that helps Futuroscope blend technology, holiday comfort and child-friendly attractions into one broader visitor experience.
