English theme park charges 23 euros for one hour of early access
Chessington made Early Access Tickets available to regular visitors. Ostrich Stampede was among the ten attractions that could operate between 9 and 10 a.m., turning the Jumanji area into part of the park's paid early-access offer.
More context
In August 2023 Chessington took a new commercial step with its morning access offer. Hotel guests had already been able to enter the park an hour early, but regular visitors could now buy an Early Access Ticket for 20 pounds per person. That gave them entry from 9 a.m., one hour before the standard opening time.
Ostrich Stampede was part of the select group of rides that could operate during that extra hour. Looopings listed ten attractions, including all three World of Jumanji rides: Mandrill Mayhem, Ostrich Stampede and Mamba Strike. That places Ostrich Stampede not only in the themed history of the Jumanji area, but also in Chessington's operating strategy.
For visitors, the news meant the family ride became part of a paid advantage package. Availability was limited and the concept initially ran until the end of October, using a separate entrance beside the hotels. For families hoping to avoid the busier periods in World of Jumanji, Ostrich Stampede could therefore be planned earlier in the day. Historically, the article shows how the attraction was already being used in premium access and crowd management only a few months after opening.
