On 3 May 2026, Chessington World of Adventures opened the United Kingdom's first PAW Patrol themed area. World of PAW Patrol brought the Nickelodeon series into the park with an investment of about 15 million pounds, roughly 17 million euros. For families, the area offered a full package from the start: rides, play areas, meet-and-greets and even PAW Patrol themed hotel rooms.

Marshall's Firetruck Rescue had a clear place in that opening lineup alongside Chase's Mountain Mission, Skye's Helicopter Heroes and Zuma's Hovercraft Adventure. For visitors, this made Chessington's direction easy to understand. The park was not simply adding rides; it was choosing a children's brand that families recognise instantly. For this attraction, it meant a modest Zamperla ride would receive a new role inside a much larger marketing and storytelling package.

On Christmas Day 2024, more detail emerged about the plans for the area around the closed Scorpion Express. Chessington had applied for permission to build a new, simple children's coaster on the site where the old powered coaster had been standing idle since 2022. A children's farm and a restaurant would also disappear, while the park added two smaller attractions to the project.

For Marshall's Firetruck Rescue, the key development was the relocation of the existing Jungle Bus. Looopings reported that the ride would move to the new area, after it had already become clear that it had to leave its old location because of a larger project involving a multi dimension coaster.

That made the ride's future role more concrete. The attraction was not only being moved out of the way; it was becoming part of the expansion around Scorpion Express. For visitors, this meant a familiar family ride would be preserved, but with a new purpose in a fresh children's theme. The planning documents for Chessington's next major project made it clear in December 2024 that Wild Asia was heading for a major overhaul. The park wanted to build a largely indoor multi dimension coaster, a family attraction, a play area, shops and food outlets. Hidden among those larger plans was one important line for Jungle Bus: the children's ride would be moved to another part of the park.

In hindsight, that was an early turning point for Marshall's Firetruck Rescue. The Zamperla ride was not being written off while Wild Asia made room for a new development; Chessington chose to keep it and give it a new place in the park. For fans, that mattered because the future of several Wild Asia attractions was still uncertain.
