Ride details

Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher is Bobbejaanland's Vekoma Swinging Turns: a suspended family ride covering 1,969 feet above Desperado City.

Dreamcatcher suspends you beneath the track as the train sweeps over the lake and past rugged Anasazi scenery. The ride opened in 1987 as Air Race, later switched to floorless trains and now feels more like a gliding flight than a traditional sit-down coaster.

Notes

RCDB lists Dreamcatcher as a Vekoma Swinging Turns with 1,969 feet of track, an 82-foot height, no inversions, a 2:44 ride time, a Chain Lift Hill and 2 trains seating 20 riders each. RCDB also names Peter Clerx and Ing.-Büro Stengel GmbH as designers. Bobbejaanland confirms the 1,969-foot track length, the 3 ft 7 in minimum and the adult requirement between 3 ft 7 in and 4 ft 3 in. The floorless trains replaced the original Air Race trains; VR headsets were part of the experience for a while and disappeared after the 2020 season.

Theming

Desperado City gives Dreamcatcher a dreamcatcher-inspired look, with a floating ride path above rocky scenery; the current trains turn the former Air Race layout into a floorless suspended experience.
