Pleasure Beach Express is the 1933 park railway with a 1.75-foot gauge that runs alongside and between the attractions at Pleasure Beach Resort.
Pleasure Beach Express is the gentle train ride threading through Blackpool's packed coaster lineup. It shows the park at a slower pace, passing themed scenes and weaving under and between attractions with the charm of a heritage railway. The main station has lived through fire, rebuilding and later upgrades, giving the Express the same layered history that defines so many Blackpool rides.
The minimum height is deliberately set to zero because Pleasure Beach Resort lists Pleasure Beach Express at no minimum height when accompanied and 3 feet 10 inches to ride alone. Coasterpedia cites a 1933 opening and credits Charles Paige, Joseph Emberton and Hudswell Clarke; Wikipedia covers the 1.75-foot gauge, the two stations and the station's rebuilding history.
The ride turns the whole park into the backdrop: a train journey between coasters, themed scenes and older Pleasure Beach landmarks.
