Ghost Train

Ghost Train is Pleasure Beach Resort's historic dark ride, rooted in the first attraction to use the name Ghost Train.

Ghost Train is one of Blackpool's major heritage attractions. The original 1930 Pretzel dark ride gave the ride type its name, and the current multi-level version followed in 1936, picking up new scenes over the decades. This is not a high-speed thrill ride, but a classic haunted house on rails where the story matters almost as much as the effects.

Notes

The minimum height is explicitly set to no minimum when accompanied because Pleasure Beach Resort lists Ghost Train with no minimum height alongside an accompanying adult and a 3.8-foot minimum for solo riders. Coasterpedia describes the current ride as a 1936 Pretzel Ride with two people per car; the earlier 1930 attraction remains part of the profile text as name and heritage context.

Theming

Ghost Train leans into classic haunted-house staging: dark corridors, rail-bound vehicles, jump scares and a local legend around Cloggy layered over the attraction's history.
