Rio Do Café is Bellewaerde’s big log flume and, despite the name, very much a water ride rather than a place to grab a drink. It mixes a family-friendly float with a punchy final drop, and the refreshed Amazon styling now ties in far better with Mundo Amazonia. The formula still works: climb into a log, drift along for a while and finish with a proper splashdown.
Bellewaerde lists a minimum height of about 3 feet with an adult, solo access from around 4 feet, a length of 1,247 feet, a height of 39 feet, hourly capacity of 900 riders, an opening year of 1980 and its location in Mundo Amazonia. Coasterpedia names Reverchon as the manufacturer, notes the former name River Splash and mentions the 2024 retheme to Rio Do Café.
The current Mundo Amazonia theming wraps the ride in the story of a hollow sequoia, a winding river and a slice of rainforest, helping the old log flume feel at home in the new area.
