Wait times in the last 24 hours: big coaster energy!
What a wonderfully busy snapshot this was. Looking back at 19 June 14:30 to 20 June 14:30 Amsterdam time, the biggest wait-time stories came from the United States, while the British parks gave us a few very useful late-day signals too.
At the top of the park averages, Knott's Berry Farm was the clear headline act with an average wait of 50.16 minutes and a peak of 150 minutes. Disney's Hollywood Studios followed at 43 minutes on average, while Universal Epic Universe landed close behind at 41.92 minutes.
The longest queues: GhostRider, X2 and the new-park magnets
For queue-watchers, the attraction list was properly spicy:
- GhostRider at Knott's Berry Farm averaged a massive 123.93 minutes, peaking at 150 minutes.
- X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain averaged 123.42 minutes and produced the biggest listed peak of the day: 165 minutes.
- Mine-Cart Madness™ at Universal Epic Universe averaged 106.44 minutes.
- Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™ at Universal Islands of Adventure averaged 105.76 minutes.
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry™ at Epic Universe averaged 97.9 minutes and peaked at 150 minutes.
That is a lot of patience, but also exactly the kind of queue profile you expect around major fan-favourite coasters and headline dark rides. Knott's was especially intense: HangTime averaged 89.14 minutes, and Xcelerator The Ride® averaged 77.34 minutes.
Park averages: a strong American top end
The busiest park averages in this report were all American. After Knott's, Hollywood Studios and Epic Universe, Universal Studios Hollywood averaged 38.35 minutes, with Mario Kart™: Bowser's Challenge reaching 105 minutes.
Florida also had plenty happening. SeaWorld Orlando averaged 30.79 minutes, with a 95-minute maximum, while EPCOT averaged 29.28 minutes and saw Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind average 78.4 minutes with a 105-minute peak.
Quiet surprises: tiny waits do exist!
It was not all mega-queues. The happiest quiet-window note came from Busch Gardens Williamsburg, where the 10:00-11:00 window sat around just 2 to 3 minutes on average across six tracked attractions. That is the kind of early-day calm every park fan dreams of.
The tip signals also spotted some very tempting lulls:
- Knott's Berry Farm looked calm around 10:00, averaging 5 minutes, before the 21:00 hour surged to 141 minutes.
- Disney's Hollywood Studios had a 5-minute quiet signal around 17:00, compared with a 96.25-minute busy hour around 15:00.
- Universal Studios Hollywood was much gentler around 21:00 at 5 minutes, after a busy 11:00 hour near 100 minutes.
- SeaWorld Orlando had a low 12:00 signal at 1.67 minutes, while 16:00 jumped to 80 minutes.
Small warning for Epic Universe: its tip data showed both the quiet and busy hour at 15:00, with a very wide spread between 5 minutes and 147 minutes. That reads like a park where individual attraction timing mattered a lot.
British parks: Chessington queues still active at closing
The British data had a nice practical nugget from Chessington. Around 17:02, just after the scheduled 17:00 close, several attractions that had been clearly busy earlier still appeared to have queues showing. This is not evidence of an official extension, but it is useful for fans planning the final ride of the day.
Earlier peaks at Chessington included Chase's Mountain Mission at 70 minutes, Zuma's Hovercraft Adventure at 65 minutes, and Dragon's Fury plus River Rafts at 60 minutes. Around closing, the visible queue signals included The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure at 35 minutes, River Rafts at 30 minutes, and Zuma's Hovercraft Adventure at 25 minutes.
At LEGOLAND Windsor, Autumn's Riding Adventure first appeared open at 12:21 against a scheduled 10:00 opening, a delay of 141 minutes in this dataset.
Likely longer operating: strong data signals, not official claims
Several American parks showed data-driven signs that activity likely continued well after scheduled closing. Important caveat: these are wait-time signals, not official opening-hour announcements.
- Knott's Berry Farm: scheduled close was 22:00, but qualifying waits continued until 23:47, an estimated 107 extra minutes. The evidence attractions were HangTime and GhostRider, with post-close waits up to 120 and 150 minutes.
- SeaWorld Orlando: scheduled close was 21:00, with qualifying waits until 22:51, an estimated 111 extra minutes. Expedition Odyssey was the post-close evidence attraction, reaching 70 minutes.
- Disney California Adventure Park: scheduled close was 22:00, with signals until 23:12, about 72 extra minutes. Evidence included Radiator Springs Racers, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, Toy Story Midway Mania!, and more.
- EPCOT: scheduled close was 21:00, with signs until 21:39, about 39 extra minutes. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure were the key evidence rides.
- Silver Dollar City: scheduled close was 19:00, with a signal at 19:36, about 36 extra minutes, led by Fire In The Hole.
Maintenance and interruptions: what stood out
A few attractions were unavailable for the whole 24-hour reporting window. In the UK, Little Monsters Wacky Races at Flamingo Land was in maintenance throughout the measuring period.
In the US, Aquatica Orlando had Omaka Rocka, Whanau Way, Tassie's Underwater Twist, and Taumata Racer in maintenance for the whole window. Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure Park and Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Park were also in maintenance throughout.
Separately from maintenance, the data showed full-period interruptions at Gear Spin and The Flying Cobras at Carowinds, Rougarou and Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point, and Revolution at Dorney Park.
Final tip for tomorrow's queue hunters
If you are chasing headliners, do not ignore the first and last hours. Knott's looked beautifully light around 10:00 before becoming the day's heaviest park, while Chessington and several US parks still showed useful closing-time queue signals. Check live waits before committing, then pick one must-do ride for rope drop and one for the final lap.
