What's new on W8baan? Our update for June 21–23

What's new on W8baan?

We have been busy over the last few days. Here is what you will notice as a visitor — less searching, faster insight into busy rides, and easier planning.

My favorites: everything in one place

The biggest addition is My favorites. Save parks and rides with the star icon on wait-time pages and keep track of them:

  • Clear charts for parks and attractions so you can spot the busy spots at a glance.
  • Shareable park pages for your favorite park — handy for sharing your plan.
  • Switch between parks quickly without going back to the main overview each time.
  • Wait times that refresh more often, so the numbers stay current.

The homepage now also links straight to your favorites if you already saved a few.

Forecasts and charts

  • Forecasts run until closing time, so you can see how the rest of the day may unfold.
  • Charts work more smoothly on wait-time pages, even when live data has just loaded.
  • Likely-busy attractions stand out more clearly in the overview.

Homepage and planning

The homepage feels fresher and is more useful:

  • The hero shows live context: how many parks are open, where the longest queues are, and a link to all open parks.
  • On mobile, the data journal section reads cleanly again, without overlapping columns.
  • Blog cards more often show a fitting park photo when there is no dedicated blog image.

On Planning tips you get more practical tips per park, including which rides are open or down — so you can decide faster.

More to explore

  • Wait-time distribution on park, attraction and manufacturer pages: not just the average, but how often it is truly busy or quiet.
  • Park chain pages under Theme parks → Chains, for example Merlin, Compagnie des Alpes or Six Flags.
  • Opening-year pages via clickable years on park profiles — useful if you want to see which parks opened in the same year.

More reliable wait times

Wait times are the heart of W8baan. We improved that too:

  • Clearer notices when live data drops out, so you understand what is going on sooner.
  • Fewer false outages shortly after park opening.
  • Paultons Park and Flamingo Land have been added to W8baan.
