What did we see?
On a normal Friday you'd expect Tornado Chasers to bounce somewhere between 20 and 60 minutes during the day. Today something almost never happens: not only Tornado Chasers vanished — every wait time at Futuroscope dropped off the map.
Around 17:33 the last waits disappeared. On paper Futuroscope should still run until 23:15 (opened at 10:00). Since then — more than 266 minutes — not a single new wait has shown up anywhere.
First guess: this probably is not a surprise park closure — more like wait times that stopped updating everywhere at once.
Why is that so odd?
This is one of the strangest wait-time situations we've seen this year. When several wait-time sites go quiet at the same time? That almost never happens.
On a normal Friday in Futuroscope you'd still expect movement somewhere — think rides like Tornado Chasers, The Extraordinary Journey, and Splash Adventure. Today there was no sign of life — just the same weird silence everywhere.
And yet other sites still whisper that the park might be open. So: is Futuroscope actually running today, or not?
What else turned up?
Elsewhere the picture is patchy: some rides still show up as open, but overall it is much quieter than a normal operating day. Sites in the mix include ThemeParks Wiki, Queue-Times.com, Freizeitpark-Welt.de, and Wartezeiten.APP.
What people are saying online
Online there is no neat story yet that explains why the wait times at Futuroscope vanished. Unrelated theme-park headlines from today stay out of this article.
How busy was it before things got weird?
While waits were still coming in, Futuroscope felt like a quiet day — think around 12 minutes on average, with queues briefly pushing toward 27 minutes.
Yesterday the same park averaged about 14 minutes, so today looked a bit quieter than a typical Friday (we usually see ~17 min then).
On comparable days we had actually expected something normal — so the pre-outage picture was softer than we thought it would be.
What could be going on?
- Is Futuroscope actually open today?
- Why are there no wait times anywhere?
- Is this a technical glitch with the wait-time data?
- Or is the park playing it quiet until there is clarity?
Below is our best read so far — but the mystery is not fully solved yet.
What do we think?
Nothing obvious online, and the waits we caught earlier felt lighter than a normal day. Maybe it's genuinely quiet — or that quietness simply became invisible once the wait times stopped updating.
This is our interpretation based on what we can see — not an official park statement.
What does this mean for visitors?
Heading to Futuroscope today anyway? Trust the boards inside the park first — not the apps.
Until the wait times come back, it stays a guessing game. The moment Tornado Chasers, The Extraordinary Journey, and Splash Adventure pop up in the data again, you'll read it first on W8baan — keep an eye on our wait-times page and opening hours.
Hour-by-hour check-ins
After 266 minutes without fresh wait times at Futuroscope, nothing has changed yet — we're not calling this solved.
20:00–22:00
Still no fresh wait times at Futuroscope (266 min). Other sites still suggest the park may be open — this still looks like broken wait-time data, not a closure. No online story, and the park felt lighter than usual before the silence.
