Tip based on Sunday 22 June: do not count on outdoor attractions before around 7:30 PM today. That is when Big Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones were the first major rides back; Dumbo, Orbitron and Mad Hatter's Tea Cups only followed around 8:30 PM. Autopia and the Disneyland Railroad stayed down for almost the entire day on Sunday.
On Sunday the Disneyland Paris resort — Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park together — looked like a full outdoor reset. Today, Tuesday 24 June, the exact same pattern is back across both parks.
Déjà vu in Marne-la-Vallée
Anyone who watched Sunday recognises the sequence instantly. Autopia climbed past 100 minutes first. From 10:57 a batch of outdoor rides vanished in Disneyland Park: Le Pays des Contes de Fées, Orbitron, Dumbo and the railroad. In Walt Disney Studios Park, Raiponce Tangled Spin, RC Racer and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop followed soon after.
Today played almost identically. Autopia hit 120 minutes again around 10:42. Minutes later Main Street Vehicles, Le Pays des Contes de Fées, Autopia itself, Orbitron, Dumbo, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, the Disneyland Railroad, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Casey Jr., Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing and Le Carrousel de Lancelot went down again. On the Studios side, Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, Raiponce Tangled Spin, RC Racer, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop and later Cars ROAD TRIP sat still.
That is not one broken ride. It is the same resort-wide outdoor pattern as two days ago.
When do they reopen?
Sunday gave a clear rhythm. Between noon and 5 PM there were only brief blips — Le Carrousel de Lancelot around 1:57 PM, La Cabane des Robinson for ten minutes around 3:00 PM — but no real recovery.
The real wave only started in the evening:
- 7:12 PM — RC Racer
- 7:32 PM — Big Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones
- 7:48 PM — Cars Quatre Roues Rallye and Flying Carpets Over Agrabah
- 8:08 PM — Raiponce Tangled Spin
- 8:29 PM — Dumbo and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop
- 8:34 PM — Mad Hatter's Tea Cups
- 8:55 PM — Orbitron
Autopia, the Disneyland Railroad, Le Pays des Contes de Fées and Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing stayed down until late evening on Sunday. So do not blindly plan on Autopia or a train ride — do plan on the big coasters and family rides from around 7:30 PM, if the weather plays the same game as Sunday.
What does that do to queues?
The annoying part of a weather day is not just closures — the crowd simply moves.
In the morning the pressure was still on Autopia, just like Sunday. Once the outdoor corners of both parks shut down, everything shifted indoors in Disneyland Park. Peter Pan's Flight became the new magnet in the afternoon, peaking around 80 minutes. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and Space Mountain followed at roughly 55 and 60 minutes.
Classic resort weather behaviour: fewer outdoor choices mean tougher competition indoors. Phantom Manor and Les Voyages de Pinocchio picked up shorter but visible peaks too.
My read: if you visited the resort today without changing your plan, you probably got burned twice — first on popular outdoor rides before the shutdown, then on the same indoor favourites once everyone picked the same escape route.
What should visitors do?
In the resort right now? Move your must-dos indoors: Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, Phantom Manor, Star Tours, Crush's Coaster. Those are today's magnets while outside stays closed.
If you specifically want outdoor rides, plan deliberately around 7:30 PM and then watch the resort wait-times page. The moment Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones or RC Racer move again, you know the evening wave has started — exactly like Sunday.
